Popping and cutting out 300ex..need help!

Default Popping and cutting out 300ex..need help!

i just got a 2003 honda 300ex and its a nice bike but here lately it cuts out and wants to die then backfires pretty bad, can you all please help me? thanks

most likely just needs to be "richened" up
is it poping on decel or acceleration?

pops when u decel, cuts out when u accelerate

its just lean...go ahead and richen the a/f screw 1/4 turn at a time until it runs correct...you will likely have to adjust your idle afterwards
