Arctic Cat 400 or Polaris 400
#2
polaris is higher maintanance and heavier the 400 arctic cat is pretty good and reliable and has diff lock but i think power wise the polaris would have a slight advantage. live right between the two manufactures and know alot of people who work in both places and i would deffinately say the arctic cat 100 percent for alot of the same reasons i went to arctic cat the most important being quality.

now to throw another monkey wrench into the system, my friend offered to sell me his 05 Vinson 500 manual with snow plow, winch, 27" ISP mud tires, 589 rims, 2" lift installed, hand guards, hand and thumb warmers, 2 helmets, full skid plate, etc . The rig has 340 miles on it, 180 of which I put on there during a moose hunting trip.
I want it but dont know much about Suzuki
He is asking 6300 for it, 200 more than the AC or Polaris.
What do you all think? I am literally 4 hours from needing to sign the paper on one of these.

if your choice is the cat 400 or suzuki 500 take the suzuki 500 with all the goodies. I think you can get the cat500 for the same price though without the goodies. the cat has higher ground cleanrance and longer suspension travel and bigger gas tank. The vinson is a nice quad though with those extras its well worth it. Theres a grand in extras there.

Thanks for the info. I just closed the deal on the Suzuki Vinson, and the guy threw in two helmets and 2 pair of goggles.
I will post up pics in the Suzuki sub-forum when I go pick it up tonight.
