My buddies outlander had a vr that went bad. He has had the part on order for about 2 months and i was wondering if you think it would even be possible to get anything out of it. Such as a winch or somthing if he complains enough. What would you do.

 

that sucks man, Ive been there and it aint fun.
I went to a dealer and ordered some stuff, over a month later it aint in. so I go to another dealer and he gets it in 5 days. then I go to the first dealer and tell them to forget it.
not saying its your buddy's dealer, but it very well may be. sometimes their heads aren't screwed on right, or they aren't getting a hold of the right people at the factory. might be worth him checking with another dealer, just to see.

 

well, the dealer this thing is on back order from is actually the second one. Earlier in the summer he blew a strut and it would take like 3 weeks for the other dealer just to get him in. THE dealer now said, bring it in, well get it fixed right up. So hes been going back there to get everything now. But the vr is on back order because or brp, not hte dealer.

 

there's a brand new ds voltage regulator on e-bay right now, just listted today, better jump on it, I picked one up on e-bay a while back for $12.
