I am on the verge of buying my son a 2005 90 Arctic Cat, and possibly buying two larger quads for my wife and I.

Who makes the A/C 90?? I have heard that Arctic Cat doesn't manufacture this unit.

 

I am not sure of the manufacturer, but they are, in fact, made overseas. I think it was a BRP DS90 I saw that had a tag on the frame stating the original manufacturer. There are a few members on this forum that have these quads, I am sure someone can tell you who makes it.

 

I believe Suzuki is the manufacturer.

 

They were manufactured in Tiawan, I believe the same manufacturer as BRP uses for their 90. The 2006 90 is manufactured by Kymco.
The 2005 and older 90's and 50's have been reliable units, and the 06's will be no different.

 

Stevie, we bought a 03 ac 90 in the spring and it is a tiawaneze bike. we have two friends with blazer 90 bikes that are the same. but the cat has front brakes tailight better tires and the plastic seems twice as thick.
We love the bike and have taken it down a lot of very narly trails and it does way better than i thought it would.
My son shoveled driveways all last winter to buy it and he is only 8 years old.
Talk about pride of ownership!!

Wow. Sounds like Dad is raising a responsible human! Congrats on sharing the concept with him that you gotta work for what you get. We are sometimes guilty of the "Gimme" factor with our son. Thanks for the info on the A/C.

 

Suzuki made the engin in my quad

 

Until this year Suzuki the engines in all the full sized quads except the 650 V-2. Then again I'm not sure the new 250 can been called a full sizes quad.
