Default tires for hunting

I am not interested in speed. I need some more ground clearance and need to know if I can put some 25 and 26 mudlites on my stock wheels and still have adequate power. The AC is a 250 4x4. All of the other guys at the club have 600 class quads and have really rutted the paths out badly and my 250 keeps bottoming out.

Bigger tire will really kill the power on the 250. I installed the Moose lift kit on my 2001 250 and got about an 1 1/2" additional ground clearance for one whole hell of a lot less than power robbibg tires cost. I used part # MUDALK02 and it was a 20 minute bolt on. It took so long because I removed the tires, but it isn't necessary to do that. Just jack up the quad, remove the upper shock mount bolt, install the bracket with the provided bolts, repeat on all 4 corners and lower to the ground. Instant lift. My kit was $79.95. Check here;

When I had an ac250 I run 25inch tires...There was a little loss in power but not much...If you are useing your quad for hunting you will be in lower gears anyway cant see a problem with 25's and you have a great lowrange you could run 26's in low range and have no power loss...

thanks for the replies, I like the $79 lift kit idea, I checked it out and it looks real simple. Can anyone tell me what the difference in weight is between the factory titan 489 tires and a mudlite tire of the same size is. I was thinking that with the lift and adding an inch of height, instead of 2, by going to a slightly taller tire that this might not hurt the power to badly. Maybe some 24's on the front and 25's on back. I'm trying to not to have to buy another ATV and spend about $5k-$6k if I can help it although a 650 h1 or maybe a 500 would be a dream come true.
