I've been doing a little work on my buddies Scrambler 400. Will this green spring phenomenon work on his bike?

If the clutch is stock, yes it will. Likely not as dramatically as in the utility models, but it should help some. You will lose just a little low speed control, though.

Quadfather,
What made you decide to sell the Stage 1 kit and go to the HPD set up? And what differences have you noticed in performance? Pros and cons of each?

The Polaris orange spring would be a better choice for a SC400. It'll need at least 53g weights to work right though.

The bike is stock. The owner is looking for a little more out the gate.

I know I should not be here, but it's so "colorful" I could not help myself. Don't get caught in the spring color hype. There is no magic, just common sense based on your machine's modifications.

Is it true that those "green spring" guys are all voting for Nader? That could be dangerous.
