I have one, and this past week-end we took it to Paddy's Bluff in Kentucky. This is my wifes 4-wheeler, and she never complained once about it. She actually likes it better over my old 98 Wolverine that I used to have.

So how do you like it? This is my first quad. I just am trying to find something that i can ride on most trails here in C olorado and that I wn't have to find a boulder field to use,

I do not think it sucks, I think it looks like a very good machine. I would have gotten one if it had more power and suspension. I have not ridden one but feel I am sound in those remarks since I have ridden a Kodiak 450 at length and it has basically the same motor, the pre-IRS Kodiak frame, and only slightly changed suspension. It would be a great quad for you or anyone looking to do the same type of riding.
I think people's biggest gripe is that it looks like a Raptor 80 (or 90 or whatever it is).

First I think the new wolverine would be great for its intended use. Its designed to be a fun trail machine. It isn't going to do well on the steep rocky stuff where low range is better. But for 90% of the trails it will do just fine. In a club I ride with there are several that ride the wolverine. and we help them go where the utility quads go. The auto tranny is good and has a lot of room for modifications plus you don't have to shift all the time. I agree with wolvydude that it would have been nice if they had kept the weight down under 500lbs for it since the older models weighed only 477 with a rear rack. I do like the liquid cooled motor better than the air cooled one (but its all personal preference).
Wolvydude,
How does your wolverine handle the 24" tires? I was thinking of dropping to a 10" rim and 22" tires and running the Maxxis Razr2 all the way around for a more sportier ride. I know the fronts wouldn't do as well in the mud but most of my riding is on trails with just an occasional mud puddle. How do you like the 424?
