I went riding over the weekend making new trails and didnt think i ran over anything big enough to hit my tank or whatever but I went out to go ride last night and there was a decent sized puddle of gas under my scrambler anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what i should do?

 

Could possibly check your needle and seat to see if your carb has some trash in it. It could possibly be stuck in the open position. Also try to shut your fuel off when not riding. Check under the tank around the petcock to see if the gasket is bad as well. Hope this helps some.

My fittings under the tank needed a heaping helping of some teflon tape once!

alright, was it leaking while you were riding? look around the top of the clutch/belt cover for gas. becuase, what hjappened on mine was that the fitting that goes into the top of the tank is like an elbow pipe, and the vent goes into it and somehow it got stripped, so if my trank is full and i am doing some bumpy riding it will leak like a sive and u can see drips near the oil filter, the breather for the belt and the belt cover. i just had my dad bring some good dual compound plastic glue and i cleaned the gas off adn glue it. but also, when mine was leaking it would run like **** i am sure becuase the gas going inot the intake snorkel which is right there. could u notice at alll were it was coming from?

 

there is gas in the air box, i havent taken the plasics off yet to get a good look but Im going to this weekend

 

just wondering... did u end up finding the problem?
