Hey man reach on top of the enginge where the plug pull off the boot and slide the socket onto the plug then take a 3 inch wobble extension and plug it into the socket , then take theratchet and plug it into the extension. You have to put one on then the other then the other. You will never get it if you havethe ratchet and ext and socket together before you start . Reverse steps to put plug in .

welp, unfortunately, theres no real easy way to do it. but, fortunately, its a 500 4 stroke and you dont have to do it that often.
just remove the front plastics and the gas tank and theres the plug. it is best to do it this way, so you can clean out any debris that gets caught in the spark plug hole and surrounding area. otherwise chunks of sand and grit will fall into the motor while your changing it out. youll never know it happened with the plastics still in place.
better to spend a few extra minutes doing all this,to be on the safe side, instead of several hundred dollars after your motor takes a crap.
just my 2 cents,,,,,
