Default Looking for a new one...

Im growing tired of my boring old 300ex.

I am actually unhappy with the power of any of hondas quads (with the exception of the 450R)
They seem to be the slooooooowest of all the other brands.

Would either of these 2 quads provide me with enough power to wax the average quad rider? (of course, nobody on a 700 haha)

Kawasaki KFX400
Suzuki LTZ400

not really, the only quads your going to be waxing are Warriors

i would look into the 450R, the Predator, YFZ, and a 400EX

Calcity,

Depends of your definition of "waxing".

If it's an all out drag race, even there a race is often determined at the start line if the machines make comparable power. If it's top end you want, then you can give any chain driven quad more top end with a sprocket swap, with sacrificing bottom end power, and vice versa.

Anything other than that, it's all rider.

Most sport quads out there are in the 400cc class or smaller. There is a much smaller percentage of the sport riding community on the 700 class quads.
The KFX/Zs are very receptive to performance mods. They rip well out of the box, also.

If you want to wax most riders in drag race situations, get a big bore. If it's trails/dunes, don't be surprised if you're on a 700 class quad and some kid who has better skills smokes you on a 400.

The Z400 and its clones, hop up pretty well. A pipe and opening up the airbox, turn it into a pretty fast machine. But more important, the bike handles extremely well in all conditions (raw speed isn't everything!). A good all-around machine!
