Baja 02,
Go to the Bombardier forum and do a search on Lectron. You will find pleny of info on the 46HV. The 46HV is NOT too much carb for a stock DS. It will take all the 46HV has to offer. The stock 42mm Mikuni on the DS is the same carb that comes on the 500cc Predator so if anything the DS should come with a larger carb from the factory.

Without a drag pipe to expell burnt fuel the 48 might be a tad much for a stock motor.

its better to use a carb to small than to use a carb too big cuz u can run into some serious problems if u run a carb too big
