How do i install my new Dirt Racer clutch
#2
I have the ebc dirt racer clutch in my warrior, I just installed it a few weeks ago. It's the fist time I ever did a clutch, but I installed it following the shop manual and it turned out fine. It seemed like all the parts matched up the same as the factory clutch.

did you put the two springs in between the 3rd and 5th plate? i just used the old ones from the old clutch. the new kit didnt come with 2 new ones? Besids that i just lined all of the plates with the grove in them stright up and down. what about the only plate that has no grove in it..... where does it go?

umm off the top of my head i'm not sure what end of the stack the one without the groove goes, but it's on the side that has a pressure plate with a wider contact area. Yeah I used the stock springs in it(I guess it's the 3rd and 5th, wherever they were before) good luck with it

ok well thanks. I think i did it right. I did what the manual told me to do. Its just the clutch that was on it only had one plate with a groove in it. not 6 plates with grooves in them. But im pertty sure i did it right. How did you get the big bolt tightened to 56 LBS?

The ebc's grooves are pretty much the opposite of the stock clutch, so it sounds like you got it right. I held the clutch boss in place with a couple screwdrivers in the holes, and a metal rod going between them and through the nerf bars to hold it in place. It's not hard if you have someone else to hold the screwdrivers and rod in while you torque it down. It was a lot harder for me to get it off than it was go get it back on.
