Default Most Low End Torque

Which sport quad has the most low-end grunt? I am not into hyper-RPM riding! Which quads in each size group has the most low end and how does its handling compare to the competion?

250-300cc?

350-500cc?

Over 500cc?

Thanks,

Joe

Use physics, you'll figure out that the bigger the piston and the more of them you have the more torque you get.

KFX700
Rap700
Rap660
DS650
Pred
yfz450
trx450
etc...

But not all of these engines are low rpm biased, some prefer to be strung out. ie: z400 makes more power but 400ex has a more low end oriented powerband.

The question is a little subjective too, because with gearing changes you can get more low end out of anything!

After riding 2 stroke motocross bikes and inline 4 cylinder sport bikes, I'm amazed at the torque of my 400ex.

First, bigger piston usually doesnt equal more torque in a given size range. A longer stroke and/or cam or port timing usually does that. Second, with gearing changes even a Banshee can have the appearance of low end torque but have a max speed of 10 MPH.

SO to be more specific, what ENGINE in each size group has the most lowend to mid-range power? I am not a top end demon!
