Default How do I fix this? 02 660 Grizz

Took my stock skid plates off only to find that the treads on the nuts are rusted out. Now I cant put the skids back on. Seems like Yamaha should have used stainless steel nuts and bolts since water is bound to hold in the low areas. Any ideas on how to fix this?

This is an easy repair job. You will need to find a tap that is one size larger and thread the hole to it. I have found if the origional is metric then the next closest tap size would be an SAE thread and vice versa. Find stainless hardware and use antisieze lube on ith threads to help prevent this problem again.
