We have a new kid in town, a all new 450cc liquid cooler engine, in a all new bike.
What about a new TRX450EX, Liquid cooler????
Lighter, great handling, Fast, ohh God, that's what I want, including a later 500cc big bore!!!

perfect, the current 400EX only loses to the raptor on MX by .5 seconds so who needs 100 pounds of bigger engine when you can beat with a smaller lighter one?

Wow that is a trick engine. About time somebody posted something factual... and not the usual "my dealer told my uncle who told my brother that Honda is gonna make a CR950 in 2001" stuff. I feel Yamaha missed the boat by not putting the YZF426 in the Raptor. Bigger is not always better.

 

Sorry guys, this is a bit off of the main subject. Hi Maddogg......if Yamaha would have strapped a no-doubt detuned 426 into the Raptor, what advantages do you feel this engine would have over the current 660? Thanks.

Yeah, this would be the obvious thing for Honda to do.....but everyone said that about Yamaha and the 426 engine. I hope for a new sport quad from Honda, I just don't know if it's gonna happen anytime soon. 400ex sales are still up. But, the 300ex was still selling good and they did come out with the 400ex. I don't know, with Honda you really can't speculate. THey'll listen to all of their customers and come out with a bigger liquid cooled sport quad. Time will tell.
