Got the cam in, the K&N filter is easy to come by. Cruisin' the net I can find 425Mag and Scramblers and Sportsman, but no Performance muffler for the 425Xpedition except for AAENs megaphone muffler for $129. Anybody got a good source of info on this? These Supertrapp mufflers are supposed to be pretty good eh? I like the interchangeble Race or Quiet cores. But at what Price? Some of their mufflers are very expensive.
Thanks,,,Silly later,,,Fourlix
Also, AAEN has a clutch kit for the 425 EXP. Is this to make it a manual clutch? It is about $95.

The only source I've seen for the Xpedition has been at Highlifter.
I believe 425Xpedition modified the magnum setup on his exp.

The pipe for the 425 Magnum will fit. I think that Highlifter now has the pipe for the Xpedition. If they do not you can make the other one fit very easily. If you can put a cam in then you can make the pipe fit.

Hi 425, Fourlix here. SO how much do you think we can do to this 425 without messing with the crank? I see Rick Ritter can port it, bore the carb out, maybe a wiseco piston, maybe have a look at those exhaust valves, or put Scrambler exhaust valves in. Rick is going to fix me up with a muffler and a K&N air filter. Along with the cam, this thing will be scooting pretty well.
Would stage II blow the crank? Stage II being piston, porting and carb.
I'm even thinking about putting AAEN's long duration cam in my H.O. since it has the Scrambler crank it should handle it just fine,
and there's not much else I can do to it. It could get the Weisco piston and Ritter porting. I plan to K&N it immediately, and maybe a HPD muffler early next year when they come out.
I was impressed by how easy this motor is to work on. I have no problem considering doing these modifications, in fact I look forward to it. These top end modifications are fairly cheap,
but getting into the crank can be a can of worms.
Whadda you think?

I do not think that the crank will have a problem handling more power. Finding a Wiseco piston may be difficult. When I was looking for one earlier this year I could not find one. The port work and the bigger carb will hurt the bottom end some. I am going to try a different approach to building the motor here in the very near future. Bigger bore and higher compression. If it works like I think it will then I should have plenty of power to turn the 28's. If everything works as plannned then I wil try and get more top end power out of the motor. If it all works right then I will let you know.
