I went to load up are atv's today and the 500 Auto is having a problem, when i put the choke on it starts fine but when i turn the choke off it die's so i have to leave it on at about 1/4 choke. Im leaving in 6 hrs and i need help fixing it.

Does it still die after it warms up?
I had a 98 AC 400 that was very cold natured. I really had to let her warm up good before I drove it. You might check the plug, cat offers a cold weather plug to help this.

 

My 2K auto is also a little cold blooded. Just let it run with the choke on for about 10 minutes and it should be fine. I usually leave mine on until the engine dies then restart it with out the choke. Hasn't failed me yet.

 

Jeez---hope every thing worked out okay. My auto cat never has a problem with dying. I use the choke to start it, then once it's started, take the choke off. No problems. I guess we'll see what it's like when winter is here!
