Default Help new guy pick a quad!

Hey everybody,
Looking into getting a sport quad. I have never owned one but have rode utility ATV's quite alot. I am kinda on a limited budget as I am in college. So it will probally have to be a model that is 5 yrs old or so. I was thinking of the honda 400ex or for cheaper a warrior. I am 19 yrs. old 6ft 3in tall and weigh only around 150. So I dont know what bike would suit my needs. I just want a quad to rip around the ranch on and maybe go to the dunes once in a while. What do ya'll recomend? Also, what should I have to pay for a good machine, say 2000 model? I have seen very varied prices on them. Thanks for the help!

i would say your 400EX is the best bang for your buck as everyone else is mentioning. with a few modifications 400 can be built into some pretty fast machines

Yeah the 400ex would be a good choice. I would also consider a used Yamaha Raptor 660 if I were you. You are tall and may feel alittle more comfortable on the Raptor.

I'd say go with the EX unless you can get a killer deal on a Warrior in nice shape.

For a 00' 400ex in good shape, you should be able to find one for about 2500 give or take a few hundred. Just check to make sure the bearings and everything is still tight.
