i need to know the valve/rocker clearance on my 1987 yamaha warrior...any body know it?

 

I went blank i can not think of the name of the tool you set your valves with lol... you stock clearence is .0009 iv got a stage 1 cam i have mine set on .0008 well thats how it reads on mine...But i know stock setting is 9 on the tool...

 

mine is an 87, you think it would still have been .0009?

 

Yea... the warrior motors are all the same.... You can set it anywere from .0008 to .0010 and be safe... Im fixing to put mine down to .0007 I dont think my valves are opening as far as they need....but mine is ported and polished and there is no book to show you were your valves need to be after you do all that kinda stuff.....

In my manual it says .06 mm intake and .16 mm exhaust for a 95 warrior.

 

thanks capristang, i think ur closer then doyle, but still doesnt seem right...either way, its finished now, and closer then it was, my dad says its right, so if it breaks its on his shoulders now.
