Hello all,
I am interested in hearing opinions on the noise level that the Stage I Hot Cam will put out. I have a tricked out Alba Raptor with the Dual LTE's on it. Currently I am having a sound decibel level of 92 decibels. Oregon Dune Compliant. It cost me about 900.00 to do that.
I don't want to put a cam in it if I can't ride it in California. 96 decibels. I have ridden a cammed Raptor before but it was a year ago. Any input would be appreciated.

Stage 1 cam will not affect exhaust noise level....or any thing else internal that you do. Are you serious?

I went ahead anyways and ordered the Stage I cam. You see, the cam leads a to piston which leads to 686 I see where this is going in a couple of years. Basically it will come down to speed first evertything else later. All tricked suspension now and some chrome. Slowly working on engine. Thanks for the input.

Got my Hot Cam Stage 1 installed today and am pleased with the perkiness and torque it brings. Good stuff. After I break it in I am going to beat the daylights out of this quad.

Break in, Shmreak in. Beat it, just beat it.

 

i have to say that you need to ask around first, internals like a cam would not change external sound.
