Default Baja 90 suspension

We love our Baja 90. My son in 7 and weighs about 50lb and the 90 has a rear suspension that can carry 250lb. The result is that he bounces quite a bit. The front suspension works great and keeps the wheels on the ground, the back jumps and bounces since the spring/shock is so stiff.

Q, any know of a softer spring/shock combination that will fit in the rear of the Baja 90?

.

For trail riding, some folks are NOT happy with their factory shocks. Either too soft or too hard. Some of these folks are lucky enough to find a spring from a different brand of factory shock and/or complete shock replacement from a different brand of mini. One that simply bolts in and works much better. For others, they spend the expensive dollars and go with a high quility performance shocks. Works, Elka, etc. are the common performance shock brands.

If you can, post pictures and measurements of the rear shock on your Baja 90. Someone might have the same measurements on their stock shocks. Thus, they can give you the brand name to "check it out" as a possible stock shock replacement. Swapping out stock shocks (for a soft shock) might be a shock in the dark but hey, its worth a try....
