Before I have to return my Raptor this week, I took it out one more time to the ATV track. There was a guy with a DS 650 there also. We were talking about our quads when I offered to let him try out my Raptor if I could try his DS 650. I took his DS around the track 5 times and man!, am I glad I got a Raptor. The raptor is so much more stable and crisp. The excelleration of the raptor is also much more responsive. I think he felt the same after trying mine, but didn't say anything. I do think however, that a taller rider would be better off on a DS because of the extra room (length and width).

 

I didn't try any of those, just saw them close to each other and for real (quebec is 4x4 utility paradise, not sports quad ). Now I understand why the DS is 3 tons heavier than the Craptor!!Just looking at the AArms gives you the explanation!!!
But the more I look at the Craptor, less I like the SuperBug styling, but the DS looks great, but has no reverse...hem...I think I'll keep riding my shee.

 

I like my ds. i'm a bigger guy and i love the size/speed/torque of it. See, I like my ds because i own one, and you like your raptor because you own one. I'd love to ride a raptor sometime. And i'd be willing to race one anytime. Maybe i could show some of you raptor riders, that the ds is more then you think it is.

 

CRAPTOR! CRAPTOR! Some one throw this "two strokes and shoot" guy off the forum. We love our craptors, I mean raptors, please refer to them by a name of honor.

 

Don't get me wrong 300exter, I'm not saying the DS is a bad quad. It would definately be my first choice if a Raptor never came out, and probably would of bought one last year if it had a reverse.
You could also probably show me what the DS can do, because your probably a better rider than me, so that would'nt help sway my decision. The top ATV racers would probably blow all of us away on a 300EX.
