I have a 2000 rancher I Plan on picking up. Is the 4x4 selectable like 2wd to 4wd or is it fulltime 4wd?
If full time what do you think of the system?
Ive only driven the 2wd models so I kinda should of thought of this before buying but whats done is done.

 

Prob. full time 4x4. No experience with FT 4x4 system. Pick up a 424 from Warn. Let's you disengage 4x4.

 

It is full time. It's not a bad system. They gear the rear slightly higher than the front, so the front only pulls when the rear slips. That keeps the steering light. But, a Warn 424 makes it way better. This is a mod that is well worth the little bit of extra money!
