Default adjusting shocks on Rubicon CTE

okay i just finished building a new snow/gravel plow for my Rubicon Canadian Trail Edition and i figured with the extra weight of the plow on the front of the machine that i would stiffen up the front shocks. well in the manual it says to put a flat screwdriver into the little hole on the shock adjuster and move it left or right to either stiffen it or soften it up. piece of cake, right? well i broke 2 screwdrivers and i didnt even get it to budge...does anyone have any suggestions or tips or anything!?!

Is there a nut to loosen before you turn the screw? I obviously don't have a rubi but I'd look for a nut, like the one when you adjust an auto clutch quad.
