Looking Into Buying Sport Quad !!
#1
well was wanting to get into the sport and wanting a few pointers, i like to do some trial riding and go to the dunes, have been to both with friends and really liked it. Anyways at the local shop down here they got a 03' KFX 400 and a 02' 400 ex, well the looks of the quads are great but was told that the 400 ex was owned by a guy that was just sick and **** about the up keep of the 400 ex. what i am trying to get at which is the better wheeler not to worried about the price but just overall the best one. Also if anyone that reads this and is interested in selling a quad let me know. yes yes i know this aint the forum for that stuff but will be coming a member soon. So cut me some slack. like i said get ahold of me if ya got anything that is sporty and nice and not to terribly expensive. My email is Satarnn@hotmail.com or you could call me my number is 620-966-9961 my name is Shawn and i am located in kansas. Thanks

Overall the Zuk is a bit better equipped stock-plus it has reverse. z's also tend to produce more power when modded, and if you may get real silly with big bore kits and such, liquid cooling is a nice benefit. Sounds like the 400ex will be a better bet initially and is still a great quad to get started on. Bottom line is that either will give you tons of smiles and good times. BTW, if you use the search feature, you will get overwhelmed with info as this has been hashed over at least a hundred times on this forum since '03.

The 03 Z had problems with a weak front shock mount, and bending axles in the very early ones. I put an Arens Bros. braces on my front end, and no problems.
The Z is a fine all-aound machine, but he EX is an excellent machine as well.
