Sure you hear about an ES shifting problem once in a while , but how much of it is just pure abuse?
Or maybe some of the problems are a faulty sensor or water in a connector! I still think it's an awesome way to shift an ATV and once its been around for a while those annoying once in a while problems will easily be diagnosed and repaired. Give me an ES over a lever shift anytime, there's been plenty of those that have caused their owner's pain and suffering over the years also!!

Many of the shifting problems could be from owners power shifting the Rancher. Two Ranchers in our club & neither one has had any problems.

MOST problems from ANY quad come from abuse, neglect, or sheer ignorance. Very few are pure lemons. but when someone gets a lemon they tend to generalize it across the entire product line.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR QUAD AND IT WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!!!!!!

Honda has chqanged the material in the shifting arms on the rancher ES
ALL arms in inventory now , have been updated. You could hold an older arm and a new one side by side and the only difference you can SEE is in color of the two.
