Making the kid happy...Desert Cat 90
#1
Hey All,
New to the forum though I was trolling if for a few days trying to decide which ATV to get the kid.
Was going to get the Arctic Cat 2005 90 left over at Gander Mountain. I called all around Rochester and nobody was carrying the kids ATVs anymore so I opted for the Unison Desert Cat 90. Ordered it from kidatvs.com today after talking with Jim this morning. Seems that only the black one will be available, but I am sure the boy won't mind.
Here is hoping all goes well with the order and once I get it going when it gets here.

Just got the DC90 in today. Nice looking machine. Going to have to get this one together quick as I'm sure the kid will be bugging the heck out of me to ride it.
When I ordered they told Jim at kidtavs.com that they only had black. Seems they must have found a few extras as I got the blue one I ordered. Nice.

Thanks Guys. I can't wait to get some pics of him on it!
I'm eyeing up the Honda 250EX or 400EX, if I can stretch it, for me next year. Getting the kid one was kinda
my way back into ATVs. I kick myself at least once a week for selling my 1988 trx 250R.

Valder, welcome. Those Desert Cats look to be decent little quads. How tall is your son? How does the quad fit him? My boy seems to be more LT80 size. I might pick him up one this year if I find a good deal on a well maintained used one. BTW, I'm right down the road from you, probably live within 5 miles or so!

My son is 4'1" and about 65lbs. The Kawasaki 80 that I looked at fit him now, but in a year or two it would
be too small (I think.) The Unison seems a bit bigger though I have not gotten the tires on it yet. Going to do it tonight and will post some pics on my pbase account when I get it together.
Heck here are a few while still in the crate.
I'll update this gallery as I go.

Got the Unison DC90 started up today....Nice. On the second kick with little effort.
I gave it a little gas and the sucker leapt ahead ready to roll. This little thing is going
to be quick. Once the grouind hardens up a bit with this cold this week I'll let him
tear up the snow.
I think I'll keep the battery out of it for now that way I have to start it for him and he
won't decide to take off on it while I am out of town.
Surprisingly quiet it is. Good thing as all the neighbors have new babies! LOL!
