PLEASE HELP...400L FRONT BRAKE LOCKED UP
#1
Please Help! Today I was riding and for no reason (that I know of) my front brake locked up. What do I do?
The front brake leaver has alot of pressure when pulled its like the brake pads won't release. Please help, I don't have a manual, however I'm going to order a FSM from RMA's monday. It just sucks because I was looking forward to riding this weekend with my wife.

If it is your brakes then the most likely cause would be the slave cylinder/s seized up, rusted. If this happened suddenly another possible cause could be a catastrophic wheel bearing failure.

man that would be great. I sent my email via PM. Thanks. Right before the front break locked up I was racing cars doing atleast 70 mph on Interstate 10 going east bound on the access road. I'm glad it didn't lock up going that fast. I told my wife when I got home and she chewed my @ss out.

You could open the brake bleeder valve on the slave cylinder. If the brakes do not free up, then there is a mechanical problem with the slave cylinder itself.
BTW, are you using the proper DOT brake fluid?
