Which one are you looking for? It has a restrictor in the carb that only lets the slide open 1/2 way up. It has a top speed governor in the front clutch (variator) that governs top speed. It may or may not have a revlimiter in the cdi box as well. A new cdi is pretty cheap if you get the right one its an easy fix. Under $40. Also you can remove the smallest exhaust outlet from the tailpipe and spend $3 on a mainjet 2 sizes up, that helps a bunch.

Well here ya go. The cdi is a limiting cdi. The 50 tooth rear sprocket is another limiter. There is a washer in the air intake tube . The 16" tires are to small also. The quad really rev's up to fast with the smaller tires and the 50t sprocket. Pull the clutch cover off. Looking at the quad from the side with the cover off. The variator is on the left. Remove the nut holding the 2 variator halves together. There is a small spacer inbetween the 2 halves. It looks like a wide weding band. It keeps the 2 halves from going together which keeps the belt from riding up higher on the ramps not letting it go faster. If you keep the 16" tires you might want to go with a 27 rear sprocket.

If you need any stock parts give me a PM. I have lots of stock parts. I also have a like new Malossi reed cage and carbon fiber reeds. I have a set of stock tires and wheels which NEVER were used.

If you need any help just PM me. I've built our's from the ground up more then once!

Do you think that the CDI that you have for the AC50 will work in a 2006 AC DVX 50?

accwiz I havent quite figured out what is going on with the 4 stroke quads they have so many different things they are using and from so many different suppliers. They used to be very generic PM me your email address if you want and I'll send a pic. I could always send it to you to look and you could send it back to me.

Default articat 50cc question

FastestDad, I know about the 4 stroke differences. I spent tons of time looking for the limiters on this thing. It had a clutch limiter as the older models did but I still think that their is a limiter on the CDI. Is the CDI a stock CDI, or does it have higher output than stock?
