Default whats this adjustment nut for???

In looking over my daughters Kazuma 90 mini falcon I noticed what looks to be an adjustment nut on the right engine cover inline with the crank. It is a slotted stud with a locknut. Could this be for the CVT pulleys? Don't want to mess with it till I know what it is. Any guesses? Thinking about making some adjustments.

I believe that is for the stator. All the chinese atv's that I have, have the same thing and the stator is on the other side of that.

That is a clutch adjustment you are looking at with the slotted screw & lock nut.
