Default Broken seat, held by duck tape, what to do???

Hey guys,

My last trip to Little Sahara in October I broke both tabs that are inbedded in the plastic part of the seat, you know, the two metal pieces that fit in the rails next to the gas tank. They are completely pulled out of the plastic and no where to be found, I had to duck tape the heck out of it to finish the week riding. Any ideas on how to fix this? Do I have to buy a new seat? This sucks, when I picked up the bike I told the dealership the seat moved around too much and they said it was normal .

Thanks,
Josh

2 bolts 4 washers and and 4 nuts and some red loctite. not pretty but it will hold the seat in place

I noticed a used seat on ebay yesterday. Type in DS650 and search all catagories, might still be there.

Just drill a hole in the seat and bolt it through? Might not be a bad idea if I can find some black button head allen bolts on the outside of the seat running through it with a metal spacer on the under side of the seat, a washer on the end and a nut holding everything together. Or did you mean actually bolting the seat to the rails next to the gas tank?

make your own tabs out of the bolt. if you bolt it to the rail it will be a pain to clean your filter and other stuff.

Well if you dont mind using the bolts/nuts/washers then go that route...if you do mind...buy another seat...its just that simple.
