I remember reading in Snowmobile Magazine that gasoline will not combust in a piston engine @ -50F and a snowmobile or atv will not start at this temperature

What can you do in that temperature anyways? I'd probably have ten children, as a result of sharing body heat with my wife. As for the quad, I think you can forgive it.

-50 degrees. I thought "how can it get that cold" then i did i quick search.
Heres a little trivia for those interested.

"Vostok station (Russian) NEW RECORD SET IN 1997!!! This is an unconfirmed report from Vostok Station during the winter of 1997. -91 °C (-132 °F) This is colder than Dry Ice! The "official"record is also from Vostok station on July 21, 1983 -89.2 °C (-128.6 °F)

I actually only had to turn on the space heater in the shed for about 20 mins and she started fine. I thought about a block heater but when it's cold I like to warm up as much of the machine as possible before I ride. My next purchse will be a heated seat though lol.
