Default how to make my motor shinny

I want my motor to be shinny almost chrome like if possible. Does anyone have any instructions for polishing it. what grit wheels to use and such and what polish to use when done. Thanks

Only suggestion I can give is, I have a 96' Ski-Doo MXZ 583, and I polished my slide rails myself, and I used..

Mothers Mag aluminum polish,
Dremel w/ polishing wheel,
Drill w/ Buffing wheel

So, If you aren't scared by putting time into it, I'd say thats the best way, it works really good, my slide rails have a near mirror finish..

a fully polished motor IS NOT CHEAP. that is if your talking about EVERYTHING. My advice just have the cases polished( a pro can polish your motor to a near chrome look) i did my cases my self, it wasnt easy, but it looks good. You will need to have a grinding wheel, with teh correct buffers, certain one are more aggressive then other, need plenty of jewlers roughe, and ploshing clay. The only reason i had the materials arouns was cuz my grandpa used to be a goldsmith... Also whatever you plan on polishing you will need to sand(wet) gently, to get all of the 'pits' and imperfections in the castings. Oh and you will need to buy a polished bolt set.
