can't go past 20mph

Default can't go past 29mph

I cleaned my carb on my 300 4x4 maunaul shift....now can't get past 20mph....put everything back like it was before, I'm guessing I have the float out on spec.?

My guess is that you didnt get everything back like it should be.
Sounds like the needle isnt working right.

U have to agree with Kodiak. If it ran before you took it apart and it doesn't now the you missed somthing. What year 300 and I might have the carb in one of my manuals and could send you the info.

2001, right now the air/fuel screw is 1.5 turns out...maybe go 2.5 turns out see what happens

I do have the manual for a 2001 and if you PM me your e-mail address I will send them to you. The external adjustments are not gonna help your problem. Something is wrong with the high speed fuel system or I suspect you have a slide vacuum problem and are not opening the slide or a needle problem. I suggest you run the quad as fast as it will go and have someone watch the exhaust for black smoke. Then shut the engine off (don't idle it at all) and pull the spark plug. If you had black smoke and the plug is black then too rich. If the plug is white, too lean.
