Swamp Fox tires for Wolverine
#1
Has anyone bought these tires for your Wolverine. You can buy them in stock size. They are 6 ply and weigh, I think 20lbs. each. Their tread is 5/8 inch deep and is considered aggressive. They are a bias ply tire and i am wondering if they would have a "hard" ride, grab too much and affect steering, ??????? I don't know. I want to stay with 23" tires so it is either these or Carlisle 489s. I ride trails, rocky, dirt and some stream and mud - also slick rock and hard pack. Thank you. Should mention that I am putting on ITP C series type 5 wheels.

My cousin has swamp foxes on his suzuki eiger. It's a 400, so it's comparable to the wolvy. He has 26's, and I think the lugs are bigger than 5/8". They are amazing tires though. These tires excel in every category the cheap stock tires failed miserably in. They really didn't make the quad feel any heavier, and the traction is purely amazing. He climbed a steep slope in 8 inches of snow that I couln't tackle when the ground was dry. They also seem sporty enough for it. In 2wd I can still throw it around the corners pretty easily.
