Default reverse limiter 93 trailboss 250

Finally getting this thing put back together, it seems to idle like on the limiter. It clears up when off Idle, and the etc switch is not depressed. I'm assuming the reverse limiter is the culprit. I've seen different threads with conflicting fixes. Is it the box with 4 wires, or is it the box with 3 wires? Then what do I do? It also Idles ok with the reverse button pushed. I've read that you cut the black wire, but am unclear. After confirming it's the reverse limiter box I will be buying a new one, the kids will be riding this thing. Also it is a 2x4
Thanks, Doc

It is the box with 3 wires.Follow the wires back to the connection block and unplag the black wire this will disable the unit.
