We just picked up a 91 Blaster and I recall seeing that many blasters have blown their engines due to a malfunctioning oil injection system. I plan on just running pre-mixing oil/gas, but is there any wires to disable to do this right?

Search and I bet a few threads will come up. What I did:
Pull right side cover, remove oil pump, install block off plate, fill case up with oil the way it was, plug hole on side of carb.

 

Vito's performance sells a block off kit for the blaster.

Check out Trenga racings web site,even if you dont want to buy the kit from them you can download instructions with pictures. I removed the injector pump from my son's 01(I did install the Trenga kit but all it is is a piece of sheetmetal and a plastic plug for the carb,where the oil line went.(dont leave this off the carb it will go lean and hurt your motor.)
when you see the little plastic gear that drives the pump youll be glad you did.

 

Just remove the little plastic gear on the back of the oil pump and plug the hole in the carb where the oil line goes in.You don't need a block off plate of any kind..................................
