sup guys. Well i just installed my new solinoid and battery and it works. Thing is though, it cranks by itself! I dont need to turn the key, when i hook up the wire to the battery, it just cranks. I dont even have the key in the ignition and it cranks. It does not start up. Whats going on here?

 

If the starter is cranking the engine over w/ the key off, the solenoid is activated. The solenoid could be bad and is activated by itself, doubt this if you say its new. Other wise, you have a short somewhere. The short would have to be somewhere where its bypassing the ignition and start switches. Somehow power is getting from the battey to the solenoid to activate it at all times so look for pinched wires. Get ahold of a wiring diagram and a test light to see where you have or don't have power.
