I was looking to buy a 2000-2001 blaster. i was looking at the top speed and how fast it got there. another thing was the performance of the machine with a 180lb rider abord. any help would be appreciated.

The Blaster is fun to drive. Although the engine is not that big, the performance is sufficient. The small size also makes it fun to drive. I don't know the top speed, but it accelerates pretty damn quick when you gas it hard. Look into the Kawasaki Bayou 220. It is similar to the Banshee in every way, including price, and it is more capable than the Banshee for trail-riding.

 

Seeing that you are 180lbs I would look into a Banshee, unless the price is to much. A warrior would be good unless you just want a 2 stroke.

If 2 stroke is the only way you will go then seriously take a look at a Banshee or a used Honda250R.
