Default Eton 90r running rough

My son has Eton 90r that is running very rough. It will start fine and it idles fine but when you give it the gas runs like the cdi box is on one of the lowest settings. It spits and sputters. I have checked the plug and the exhaust. Any other ideas. Is there a way to remove or test the cdi. The bike is not that old but it has been in the shop a lot in the last 6 months or so.

Thanks
Dan

are you running a stock air filter. I switched the air filter on my sons e-ton to a wire mesh/paper filter and when I washed it out I didn't let it dry out enough and it acted like yours. just an idea.

Check your wire connections also, coil, sparkplug cap, etc.

I checked the air filter and the connections at the plug and plug wires. I have not checked any other connections. Should I coat the connections with some type electrical grease??? Just seems stange that it starts fine and idles fine just spits and sputters at high revs

Thanks for all the help

Look for testing your mini's electrical system.
