Default would u trade warrior for banshee

this is the second time i have been offered to trade my warrior for a 2001 banshee with fmf pipes reeds uni filter after market everything except the supnsion and it is bored 40 over brand new top end rebuild as well with brand new piston and stuff.

here is the downside only one exaugst has fumes coming out the other has barely any(says it need new reeds). that carbs need new jets and he needs strating fluid to start it

he said he put his friends stock carb and reeds on it and it ran perfect.

the quad has alot of hours on it because this was the kids main quad.

he said if i pay for it to be fixed and it has more problems we can trade back and he will sell his fmf pipes to pay me back

is the bike tired?? usually 2 stroke that have alot of hours on them are tired...if it runs strong and is it good shape i say go for it but keep in mind thats banshees need alot more maintnence then your warrior but its worth it because they are sick bikes. check the frame, swing arm, and a-arms for cracks and bends too.

the top left a-arm was bent but stratened u cant even tell the tires are peerectly strait but u can see were it was bent

what do you meen by tired. he said that when he put his friends stock carbs and reeds the bike ran strong

And he told me the bike is alot of maintance so i believe it. as long as the bike is not so unreliable that everytime i ride it i have to fix somthing

the front fenders are shaved off and his rear rims are bent.

but what about value wise is it worth it?

I don't know if I would believe that he switched those parts with his friend's and it ran perfect. For one thing, jets don't go bad or wear out. There's no reason to replace a jet unless it's not jetted properly. Does he have any reciepts to prove that the top end was rebuilt?

Honestly I wouldn't trade my warrior for a banshee, because you'll probably be fixing or replacing something else after every ride. I don't know anybody that has a banshee that went for more than a month at a time without needing something replaced. If you really think it's worth it then take the offer, but i'd never trade a good running quad for one that's in worse shape, older, and doesn't run right.

Doesn't sound like a fresh motor to me. If you really want the shee, be prepared to put in new rings and pistons.

That sounds like a better idea than trading. If it's been beat you can plan on spending most of your free time fixing it and getting towed back home. From the way you described it the top end needs rebuilt again. I have a feeling one cylinder is pretty f'd up if it's barely firing, and it takes starting fluid to fire it up.
