top speed
#1
I just bought a 06 400 auto . The salesman told me it would do 60 mph with me on it. I weigh 280 lbs. I don't want to go that fast , but so far have only had atop speed of 40 mph. It has 48 miles on it. 40 mph is a far cry from 60.

Unless it is a DVX it will never come close to 60 mph. My 2005 400 manual(which the service manager says is on on the two strongest 400s he has ever ridden) will do 54 speedo and 52 GPS. Expect your auto to be around 5 mph slower. Mine is well broke in as I have 1300 miles on it and use synthetic oil.

i have a AC 2005 500 automatic.
goes pretty slow i think.....today i had top speed of 48 mph.
i had a 2002 polaris 400(actual 425 cc) and i got it up to 60 mph no problem and i weighed at over 300 lbs.
i hope my arctic cat will pull my 4 ft spring tooth as well as my polaris did!!! MY dealer told me that arctic cats are know for there lower end power and not top speed.....we'll see this spring who is right.
