I heard that honda uses or used a special heat dissapating paint on their engines. Does anyone know if this is true and if it is where could I buy it?

 

I got some paint like that at meijer. its called engine block paint i think. It should definantly be high temp paint I will check it out tomorrow.

 

It's Dupli-color Engine Enamel it's good up to 500 degrees. That should do the job. I don't know about the honda paint though.

 

This special Honda paint is suppost to help draw the heat from the engine, so I'm told. Apparently Honda used it, or maybe still does, on their engines. It is not only high temp. but heat dissapating as well.?? I don't know.

 

Well suzuki paints their motors too. Maybe it is the same stuff. I dont really know anything about the honda engine paint but that sounds like some sweet paint if there is some like that. But i really dont recall a lot of engines really being painted it probably used for the 2 stroke motors. I know that the older 250rs are painted but i dont know if it is whith that paint or not. But if you find some let me know that sounds like interesting paint.

 

idk about about that special paint but on hirsch automotive they have engine paint that goes to 2000'F!
