Default spring load

a lower preload setting will give you a softer ride, high preload gives you a bumpier ride, but won't bottom out as easily, and the front end sits a couple inches higher for more ground clearance.

I'm not really sure what you are asking, but let me say this: I used to run a stock car. To lower the car, we could cut a coil off of the spring. This lowered the car, but it had a stiffer ride.
