Grizzly Ingition switch
#2
If you could find a waterproof DPST or DPDT toggle switch I suppose you could, but I wouln't recommend it. All it would take for a thief to make off with it is to flick the switch, plus having a toggle switch instead of a key would look a little suspicious. The new key switch and 2 keys is only like 60 bucks, just tell him to get a new one and don't take any chances with it.

Recon- do you know if there is anything in the CDI to prevent this? On my Prairie you had to have the key and the ignition switch to get spark, kawi's idea of anti-theft i guess. Your right on the price but he's a cheap bastard, "Dude thats a lot of money" um, ok man whatever......

There's no special anti-theft features built into it, it's the same part number as the one on my warrior. When I was installing my oil cooler I hotwired mine with 2 short pieces of wire becuase my hood (along with the ignition) was disconnected and I didn't have enough space to mount it yet.
Still, if somebody took off with the grizz while it was parked in front of his house, your buddy would be really rethinking the toggle switch idea.
