Ok, so what do you guys run in your minis with cvt transmission?
Honda 80/90W 2 stroke tranny fluid or motor oil?

2005 Viper 90R

 

Is it a 2 or 4 stroke engine?

80/90 gear oil will work great. Some folks also use the Polaris 90 gear oil. This stuff is blue and is easy to see on a stick or through a sigh glass. 80-90 gear oil that's a different color will work great as well.

OK you guys need to help me out. Its a 2 stroke and its got a cvt. Where does the gear oil go? Is it a shaft drive?

 

The cvt portion is dry but there is a gear box beside it that in affect connects the drive shaft (connected to the rear cvt pulley) to the "front sprocket" rear shaft and basically re-gears (reduces) the revolutions.

 

Thanks RL, I was going to go home and look for the place to put the gear oil on my Yamoto 150. But its a chain drive.
