I had something happen this weekend that seemed like a very unlikely thing to happen. My son was out riding when he noticed this slight "tinging" sound coming from the engine. Upon inspection I found the starter driven gear (behind the front clutch) had broke. The gear itself had broken loose, from the inner shaft it's welded to, that rides over the crank shaft. It blew my mind for this to happen.

Has anyone else ever had this problem?
