Default Free Winch Is Not Free

I just purchaced a new 2006 Suzuki Eiger 5 speed for $4399, my first choice was the Yamaha Big Bear at $5199. The Yamaha Dealer offered to throw in a free Warn Winch with the Big Bear, but with the quoted out the door price there was a $150 add on for the winch, and he didn't have the winch on stock, he had to order it, getting the run-around I purchaced the Suzuki without the winch.

Polaris is offering a free winch. But you have to install it yourself or have the dealer do it. I would just have the dealer do it. That way when you pick it up your ready to hit the trails.

Not to mention dealer installation usually equals the installation is covered for life, or some long-term.

but half the fun of getting a new toy is installing all the extra's yourself lets ya get to know your machine a lil bit so you can talk nice to her and then you two can get off to a good start.

A buddy of mine has an Eiger. It does seem like a few corners were cut to save money, but when you consider how well they ride and handle and what they cost, I think they are a great value.

www.4atvtires.com had the best prices on winches I could find anywhere, once you figured in shipping and mounting plate. I kind of enjoy installing stuff like that myself, anyway, plus it gets you familiar with your new machine and the winch.
