Bruin 350, backfiring and losing power at high rev
#1
I have a 2005 Bruin 350. Me and my brother in law went ridign one afternoon and my bike stared to act up. It just all of a sudden lost power and would hardly move. It idles fine, but when I give it some gas it starts to bogg down and lose power and backfire. Changed the plug, still does the same thing. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

My warrior did the same thing. Turned out it was starving for fuel because the valve in the gas cap wasn't opening and letting in air. Every time it started to bog I would stop and take off the cap then screw it back on and go. Eventually the problem solved itself.

it's probalbly a clogged main jet. It's a fairly simple fix, just take the bowl off the carb, unscrew the main jet, and spray some carb cleaner through it to clear the blockage. Most of the other problems suggested would make it act up all the time, not only at high rpm's.

Thank you everyone, all the suggestions have been a big help. Got the problem fixed and it running fine now. The air intake tube that goes to the carb out of the airbox was real lose. I tightened it up, did some fine turning on the carb and now it runs fine. My bruin is only five months old and that was the first time it had been riden pretty hard, so it must have worked it way lose. Thanks again for all the help.
