Hey Im looking into buying a 400ex, is it a good quad to ride in tight wooded trails and off small jumps? Thanks, ohh and is it a good wheely machine?

 

im thinkin bout gettin one too, my friend jumps our street and does pretty good wheelies on it. i think its a good reliable machine

 

Yes, this is a great bike in the woods and on of the easiest bikes I've ever ridden as far as wheelies goes. Hope this helps.

 

The 400ex is a Great trail quad. It does good jumping and its really easy to ride wheelies on. They all around a good quad.

 

The 400EX may be older technology but it still makes for a great trail bike. I stepped up in power to a DS650 but still miss many of the qualities of the EX. It is easy to throw around in tight trails and jumps are no problem for it. To me it was one of the easyest ATV's to jump and land. The only real draw back is not having reverse on the older models. No matter what they say there comes a time when reverse comes in handy. At least the EX is not overly heavy and can be moved without to much effort. If you can get a good price on one you will not be disapointed. In my book it rates as one of the top ten sport ATV's of all time.

I love my 400EX.It may be a little slower in the straight than the newer quads but in the trails I can hang with anyone.
